Josh founded High Notch as the culmination of two decades of marketing experience in the outdoor and ski industries. The bulk of that time was spent in-house, helping prestigious brands build their ecommerce platforms and digital marketing strategies. His “coolest” job was likely being Powder Magazine’s online editor in the early 2000s at the height of the freeskiing revolution. He then spent six years with backcountry.com helping them hone their content production, direct marketing, and building their in-house creative agency. More recently he managed brand and ecommerce digital marketing efforts for both Black Diamond and YETI.
Since then he has been helping clients with digital strategy including KÜHL, FOX Factory, and Rylo as well as Hammerquist Studios’ clients Sage, Osprey, Hydro Flask, and more.
